Beaded Earrings - Pyramid Fair Trade

A wise person once said when wearing earrings: "Doesn't matter how it hangs when ya dancin'".

This is a lovely pyramid shaped beaded earring bright, fun and vibrant, these beautiful beaded earrings will liven up any outfit. The tiny glass seed beads are threaded by hand by our artisan partners and fixed with a contemporary arched earring hook. 

Handmade by a group of women artisans based in Bawana, a small town in the North West district of Delhi, an area mostly inhabited by migrant workers. Many in this community used to live in informal “slum” settlements in Delhi and have been offered small plots of land in this area.

One artisan that has been making jewellery here for 18 years stated of working for a Fair Trade artisan group: “As well as my other fellow artisans I feel more confident and happy. There is also a sense of empowerment. Formerly, we never travelled and now I travel often for the work. I feel now more productive and useful.”
